Last days of the ghetto kitchen

Sunday April 25, 2004

It was an easy Sunday morning to get up to.  I was well rested and was eager to get back to the coffee house that I haven't been to in at least a couple months. The sun was high in the sky as I drove down the street making notice that way too many cars are in the driveway on a Sunday morning.  I imagine the pews are pretty lonely this morning as I watch a woman with a matching hairdo walk her poodle that is wearing a vest and black boots.

Last night after work I went with my brother looking at kitchen cabinets and for a new refrigerator.  I found a really decent fridge with a five year warranty on sale for 250 bucks.  I am going to go over there today and buy it and ask if I can pick it up the next day.  I also have to call a local thrift shop and see if they would be interested in taking my old refrigerator (which would mean picking it up and getting it the hell out of my apartment.)  I am super excited about my kitchen getting a new face.
The next big job I have to do is to start taking down the old cabinets and then removing the existing wallpaper backing from the walls and then giving it a fresh coat of paint.

X came over  and helped me strip down the rest of the wall paper backing in my kitchen. I couldn't thank him enough.... removing wallpaper is the worst.
