(before) Trimspa Baby!
We had our Salon Christmas party on the 15th. It was a lot of fun and I was happy to find that I was in the mood to party and have a good time. It helped to get outside my own head for a day, lately it's been hard to escape my own thoughts. This year we decided to do something different for the party and everybody (well almost everybody) had come dressed up like a celebrity. I of course took this chance to be Anna Nicole Smith. I am sure I will have some pictures in the coming months once film starts to become developed but basically I had my hair piled on my head in an up-do, tons of Rhinestone jewelry and a very low cut top with fake money stuffed in my cleavage everywhere, and I even brought a stuffed black dog with a rhinestone collar named appropriately "Sugar Pie." I won third place in the costume contest and won myself a Starbucks gift card (yeah!) Among the other celebrities there was a Jennifer Anniston, Anne Heche, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Tammy Faye Baker, Sophia Loren, Ashley Simpson, and Joan Rivers. In other news, R took me for my pre surgery blood test at the
hospital yesterday morning and the nurse went over all that can be expected
after the surgery and also things I need to do the night before and such.
It really was a comfort having R there with me. So all now that is left is
that I show up on the 27th. A lot of clients have asked me if I am nervous
or apprehensive about my surgery and I don't know if this is strange but.. I am
looking forward to it. I am looking forward to the whole experience.
Looking forward to the art that will come out of it. Is that crazy? oh I almost forgot to mention, remember that Redken NYC contest I was running in the summer of this past year? Well I came in third but my boss will be sending me for sure next year and they are holding another contest and the winner will be going with me! Hooray! I am going to NYC and hopefully by then I won't be a big fat pig!
