Train of Life #44
October 26, 2000
It was past my bedtime. I
was driving you home. We got stuck by a freight train; forced to
slow down, and think about how we arrived to be at these flashing
red lights.
I commented on the speed of the train and compared it to a life.
Each box car a year passing before our eyes too fast to even
count, but noticed how much easier it was to reflect as I watched
the cars go further down the track and eventually disappear; like
forgotten seasons.
This is how fast it goes; life is as short as Springtime, it
would be a shame to miss it.
