Misfortune  #83

Sometimes those who claim to be free
 are caged in the most,
a slave to their definitive freedoms,
they have tied their wrists to their opinions
to the point of not being able to grow or move from here,
where it sure can get stagnant after a while;
sort of like swimming in your own vomit
and at that point it doesn’t make the vomit
any better because it is in fact yours.
There is nothing wrong with finding what you believe in
only in believing that there is no other way to see

You claim you have been trying, thinking, figuring
but all of these are about as accurate as opinions,
founded on the only thing you ever Let yourself know,
as if you have seen it all in such a short amount of years
and nothing to be seen in the future will alter you

It goes beyond immaturity; I see anger and closed mindedness,
and a giant chip on your shoulder, too heavy for yourself to carry
you demand that others around you pick up the slack.
I say dump the boulder, and move on to freedom.
