A crack in muscle
A scratch on
the eye ball of love

Not as sad as cero sis of the liver
Not as quick as cancer
or as shocking as
a heart attack during
a game of canasta

 but thin and sharp
as an avocado leaf
and as sure as a leak
in the Hoover dam
