Mother's Day
Sunday May 9, 2004
Mother's day
is the day you thank your mother for pushing you out of her vagina by
taking her out for a plate of pancakes."- Saturday night live
At the java once
again. It's mother's day, going over to mom's in the
afternoon. I have two cards for her. A funny card... and a
card that will make her cry. I am treating her to a pedicure at
the salon. I feel very lucky to have her still around.
It' was nice to be able to tap out a couple new poems this last week.
I really was trying to forget that I even write. I pretty much
had. I realized this most when my clients would ask me how my
poetry is going and it would take a second to register because poetry
just didn't ring a bell. This is the cycle for me.
It always feels good when I come back to home plate. I just like
knowing it's there if I ever decide that there is nothing for me, but
then what would I write about? There is a possibility that I will
be meeting a old friend here today. I have only met him once
before about 3 years ago. Recently I hadn't talked to him in about
a year and bumped into him once again when I logged on to my old yahoo
messenger account. Go figure I can't remember what my present
account password is and so I have given up and have probably lost a few
new contacts in the meantime. But a few old ones
reconnected. Oh, and here he is..
