I had myself a little altered
this past weekend...
WARNING WARNING.. DON'T LOOK....
oh.. too late!!
Five days after surgery.. I was so excited when I went to the doctor today and they took off that damned splint and stuff... I was super excited when I found out that I get to keep the staples in for another week so that on Thursday when I go into the salon to get my hair washed I can gross them all out. I am now starting to put down a little weight when I walk with the crutches, hurts like a bitch or as the DR. said... Yep,.. It's still Angry. oh yeah.. They let me keep the hardware they removed a stainless steel plate and 8 screws.. I'll post a scan of them laterish..
When the nurse removed the splint and bandages she asked me if it was as bad as last time (my last ankle surgery) and I told her that it wasn't nearly as bad and that I wondered if my foot/leg was going to look like uncooked chicken when she finally got the bandages off. She laughed and said that she never really thought of it that way, but that I was very descriptive and that it's true that's what it looks like.. then she laughed and said.. well I don't need to tell you what your scar looks like.. she gave me a look and laughed again as she was walking out of the room.
Look An ANGRY CANKLE!! AHHH .. if you look really close in the background this is my little art area in R's living room..I'll have to take a better picture of it one day while I'm working; it looks like a bomb went off when I get going.
so that's it.. I'm marrooned on a Desert R-land. Starting to get around but not very fast. Spending most of my days eating magic cookies, drinking coffee and tea... working on a couple altered books, a couple bookmarks, and I have also been asked to alter a picture for a girl at work to hang in her bedroom. I have mysteriously convinced R to take me to the hobby store because they had 30 percent off the supplies I need. (need probably not the right word here.) I didn't think he would be so agreeable because he would have to push me in the wheelchair.
